Because I think it would be really interesting for them to be a reflection of each other's situation. Makes them have that much of a deeper connection and understanding of each other.

Little Spook and Babysitter Husk headcannons! (Pt. 1?)

When Spook was big he picked up one of his jobs at the hotel, he helps husk serve food at the bar. The two didnt talk much mostly because Husk was reserved and Spook was too intimidated by him to say anything. They both did their job and then promptly left, Spook making sure to keep out of Husk's way

One day Husk saw Spook was making many more mistakes with his food and fumbling around more often, not to mention he seemed to avoid talking entirley. When Charlie gathered everyone up for another redemption excersise (Although spooks is an imp charlie still allows imps to participate for fun) Spooks got overwhelmed by everything, he started crying and ran away

The next day when Spooks came back to work Husk wanted to ask what happened to him but Spooks refused to answer, he looked like he was about to cry again. When he did Husk almost immediately clocked him. A lot of people in the hotel regressed and he immediately wrapped Spooks into a hug and tried to soothe him

It took about 30 minutes of crying but Husk eventually settled spooks and gave him a sippy full of juice and covered him with a blankie

From then on Spooks and Husk actually became friends, spooks learned he could be vulnerable with husk and that perhaps he wasn't as mean and rough as he might seem on the outside. Their friendship took a while but eventually Spook became comfy with telling husk he regressed and allowing husk to babysit him

When little Spook insists to continue to help husk out behind the bar. Husk doesn't like putting him behind the bar but Spook refuses to be away from him to he allows spook to do simple things like using a rag to clean the glasses and giving him ice cubes, but besides that nothing else

Lil spook refuses to call husk with his name but will rather go "pspsps" or "here kitty!" To get his attention. Husk hated that it worked on him and tried to stop responding to spooks whenever he did that

Husk quickly found out that this doesnt work and spook WILL sit there for an hour calling him the exact same way until he answers, and if an hour didnt work he would pull his tail

When people would get drunk by the bar and get rowdy, starting to raise their voice Spooks hides behind Husk and that was husks memo to force them to leave and go back to their room. He was very protective

Husk tried introducing Spooks to Angel, Spooks was intimidated by angel due to his height but Angel immediately snuggled Spooks and spoiled him. Spooks thinks his accent is funny and has also added "toots" to his vocabulary

If Toby (his cg) isnt around Husk is his go-to and if Husk is busy, Angel is his go-to. But hes still afriad hes bothering Husk and Angel is he asks them to look after him

Spook often tries to wear the same clothes as Husk, he really likes the kittys suspenders

Always pesters Husk to sing loser baby for and with him, its his favorite song and he likes dancing with husk to it

Whenever Husk joins spook in any activity like coloring and Husk shows spook what he did spook will always give him a pat and say "good kitty"

Husk has tried putting Spook to bed only for Spook to put him to bed instead. He just keeps on petting Husk until he falls asleep, Angel seems to be the only one who can put Spooks to bed successfully

At one point Husk had to try to stop Spooks from calling everyone a loser, he thought it was a compliment because of his song

Spook tries to do magic like husk but doesnt do it correctly. Husk tries to teach him. In exchange when big Spook teaches Husk yoyo tricks

Spook likes to hold onto Husks tail and have Husk walk so it just drags him everywhere, he finds it fun

Due to Husk also not liking water Angel is in charge of dip changings and bathtimes

Its not uncommon to see Husk carrying Spooks when he falls asleep, they will be in the main room, Spooks on his chest sleeping soundly and sometimes Husk will fall asleep with him purring, Husk knows Spook sleeps better that way because it reminds him of Toby

And thats all for now! I might make a few more of these with Spooks and other HB/HH charachters maybe....we'll see!

Notes from a concerned medical professional who reads too much hurt/comfort:

(These are all things I've seen in Hazbin/Helluva fanfics)

(Tw: for injury, illness, gore, drug use, overdose, a lot of other things)

You cannot drug someone to sleep by overdosing them on melatonin. It will not work

Don't submerge an open wound or stitches in a bathtub/pool/etc it will introduce bacteria to the wound (taking a shower is usually fine, just skip the romantic bath)

On that note, stitches do not immediately stop a wound from bleeding and should not be used to solve every problem (never give yourself stitches unless you have absolutely no other choice they can trap infection inside the body when done incorrectly)

And, if the wound is extremely deep, a person may need several layers of stitches to piece together the skin, muscle, and viscera

You absolutely cannot get high on tylenol or ibuprofen even if you mix it with alcohol.

If you do mix tylenol or ibuprofen with alcohol it can cause internal bleeding/kidney damage/liver failure, so please don't do that

If someone is shivering from a high fever, don't cover them in blankets it will raise their body temperature even more (please try correctly dosed tylenol or ibuprofen for this)

Don't submerge someone with a high fever in ice water, they might go into shock (they also might panic and hurt themselves) in a pinch lukewarm water will do

Don't put ice on burns, run them under lukewarm or cool water instead

If someone overdoses on an opoid (heroin, morphine, various pain medications), there is a medicine called nalaxone (Narcan) that can reverse the effects of opioids (edit: thank you to @queerlybehooved)

If someone is bleeding profusely, don't just hold their head and whisper sweet nothings, put pressure on the wound!!!

If a bullet remains in a person’s body after being shot it most likely should not be dug out unless it's blocking something vital, the bullet is not the problem the damage it made in it's path is

This isn't a criticism of authors who have written things like this. A lot of it isn't common knowledge, and DIY healthcare is absolutely steeped in myth and misinformation. I just worry about disinformation being perpetuated (and I really enjoy accurate hurt/comfort)

here’s a thing you could try doing (if you want to) the Hazbin hotel gang with seraphim child reader who somehow appeared in hell after the ep 8 battle.

the gang now has to look and protect this child since others could use them for their own means with the power the kid has and for some reason they can’t go to heaven… almost like they have a purpose here in hell

A/N: This is probably going to get a part 2, I'm a little invested in where this could go! It's probably gonna get turned into a little series with a plot.

With a child seraphim i really don't see one knowing what hell even is yet. Sure, they would tell them about it, but definitely wouldn't know what it is. Or alcohol, or curse words or anything vulgar really. I hope you enjoy!

Type: Fic (Nonromantic, Plot-centric,Hotel staff/residents with seraphim child!reader, General)

It was an honest mistake. You really hadn't meant to, but Emily and Sera were starting to argue again, something that had been happening often since that nice Charlie girl you had met at the zoo came and gone. So you had snuck away. You hated when they argued, they were your family. Family shouldn't fight, ever, you had decided early on.

Curious, you continue on towards the portal. You investigated, peering through to see a strange place bathed in red, you saw a broken building, something that reminded you of something one your brothers had shown you from the human world. War, you thought it was called. Something horrible that humans thought up to hurt each other.

You hated when people were hurt. You wanted to get closer and help anyone who might be hurt, even if your powers hadn't fully come in yet.

Then an idea came to your mind! You could ask your brothers to help! They would know exactly what to do! With this in mind, you attempted to return back through the portal, only to be pushed back by some invisible force.

Wait... What? Why wouldn't it let you back in?

Then it happened. You were still a young Seraphim, your wings weren't super strong yet, and as you peered down at the red place your wings gave out. Luckily, your brothers and sisters had trained you in case something like that happened! You were able to slow your descent, at least enough for it not to hurt when you finally landed.

So you started to make your way to the pretty, large building on the hill with a sign that read Hazbin Hotel. Though the building didn't seem quite finished yet, it was still really pretty. Odd, hadn't it just been all broken?

As you pushed your way in through the heavy doors, you saw three people over at a tall counter: A cat man with wings cleaning a really small glass, an angel, but she didn't have her wings out, and- Oh no! She seemed to have misplaced her halo, too! That wasn't good! And a pretty pink and white spider-man that was sipping on a pretty looking juice

The pretty spider-man looked over at you and did a spit-take, nearly choking on his juice.

"What the fuck is a kid doing here?" He exclaimed, gesturing at you, fuck? What kind of word was that? No one had taught it to you, and you couldn't remember any of your fellow Seraphim using such a word, either. This seemed to get the other two's attention as they turned to look at you, shocked expressions on their faces.

"What does 'fuck' mean?" You asked, head tilted in confusion looking between each of the strangers. The pretty spider-man looked like he was going to start laughing but the angel next to him hit him hard in the shoulder, only serving to confuse you more.

"Charlie!" Excited, you ran forward, using your wings to jump higher than you would have otherwise, right into her arms. The blonde non-angel caught you with ease.

The princess of hell's eyes widened looking up to find her companions looking just as confused and shocked as she felt.

This wasn't good, not one bit.

It Had To Be You

Before I get into my big explaining rant, reblogs are very much appreciated! I know this is usually a rant blog but when I spend so long on a drawing I want to have people see it and stare at it like I do LOL

Also for the ALT text, a lot of the details are going to be explained below so if you’d like extra details please read!

So, my designs! I really hate Husk’s design; as in I hate drawing it. It’s too red and tiny for me, Husk is very orange and round to me, he’s like a really chubby cat that you flip over in the bed and smack their belly and kiss em. He also kinda reminds me of Tigerstar from Warriors but like if he was a more morally correct person. Kind of. I removed all of the red from Husk and replaced it with little motifs of orange and brown like in his ears, his eyebrows, wings, and the little patch on his snout. For his wings I tried to base them around a Brown Thrasher because they fit the colour I needed and they’re very defensive birds which is a trait I’d like to see in Husk more. Seeing him protecting others with his wings in Episode 8 was a very cute touch and I want more of that. Oh and the little orange bit on his snout was based on one of my old cats named Whiskey and I thought that was fitting cause yknow. Whiskey. 🥃. Also it’s cute!

Part of Husk’s orange colouration also falls under some inspiration I received from @bluehazardanonymous whom you may see on my blog again. But they sent me a very interesting colour chart and it made my brain go funny

Husk’s design has a lot of orange, yellow, and small hints of red like his undone bowtie and hat band/ace of hearts card. The orange for gluttony is mostly related to alcohol and such, meanwhile the yellow in his eyes, shirt patch, and on the button on his hat are to show greed from things like gambling and possible leftovers from being an overlord. I don’t think you can just go from being all powerful to some random bartender and NOT have some kind of thirst for power right???? That also bleeds into the red parts (haha cause blood red) to keep his design on the warm side and have a little bit of anger in there.

His clothes are also supposed to look a bit sloppy and kinda sad cause I mean. He is. But they are also all relatively formal items of clothing. By the way I’m never drawing this guy shirtless, sorry you need to beg and pay for that/j

Now for Angel. With Angel being pink-ish and how I usually draw the rest of Hell, I try to make Hell more gross looking and greenish/sickly, generally unpleasant, so that Angel is more eye catching and pops out more like a celebrity would. A lot of the cast in my head is more orange/maroon coloured, not a lot of pink or salmon colours. Of course pink is under lust on the colour wheel, but I personally don’t like chalking Angel up to just his job, nor do i really like using “true” pink. I always keep him in this range:

Also that white is not for him it’s for other things, I always make him a cream-ish colour. I like pink with red undertones always, especially for Angel. It shows his job very blatantly if you take a simple glance at him, but if you’re nuts like me and colour pick from these that I use, you’ll see a lot of them are closer to red, rather than the bright pink-ish-purple colour for lust. And also closer to his original more purple design!

I think it goes without saying that Angel has a lot of pent up anger and frustration that he hides with his persona and humour, and I think trying to show some of that in his colours is a lot more interesting than just haha pink gay spider. I dunno.

Also I thought these little cowlick flip thingies on the side were really cute

I was originally going to make the sign in the back purple since that’s usually the colour of most XXX signs in Hazbin, but the yellow makes everything else look a lot more dingy and gross while still being bright and I love that. Also the yellow is kind of a shallow jab of my own at the adult entertainment industry, a lot of this stuff is just people being exploited for money but I will go on a tangent about this if I don’t shift topic!! Anyway. A lot of the background isn’t super visible, but based on the colours I was kinda going for a more envy & wrath & greed section of the pride ring. Just seems like a good place to smoke. The rain doesn’t hold much symbolism to it but it is there to make the area seem more unpleasant. Yknow how it rains sometimes and the sewage in the street comes up? Like that.

Im really happy with a bunch of stuff in this art. 10 hours, 184+ layers, and 11751 strokes is probably the most I have ever done for.. anything????? Even if you don’t like the art I hope you appreciate the long rant LOL

Some wholesome headcanons

1. Zestial's only form of technology he owns aside from kitchen appliances is a radio that Alastor gave him.

2. Alastor will sometimes borrow Zestial's clothes while Rosie is mending his suit.

3. Charlie has a collection of history books to better understand the different time periods her friends are from.

4. Alastor's mother tells her friends in heaven about her son and how much of a gentleman he is, despite knowing Alastor was a serial killer after her death.

5. Angel Dust and Husk play simple card games together as a pass-time.

6. St Peter, Emily, Sir Pentious, Molly and Alastor's Mother are all friends. Peter and Al's mother are the parents of the group.

7. Vaggie did meet Alastor's mother during her days in heaven, she still doesn't realise this yet.

8. Lucifer has handmade plush ducks made to look like they're dressed like the other high up angels (Gabriel, Micheal ect)

9. Despite being scared of fire, Zestial always offers to light campfires when camping with his friends

10. Charlie knew Zestial as a kid, mostly due to him being close with Lucifer. He used to babysit her on rare occasions.

11. Rosie and Alastor considered marrying each other to avoid people hitting on Alastor, however they dropped the idea because Rosie knew she can't stay committed to marriages (not in the sense that she'd cheat, more that she'd get bored and kill her husband)
